If you truly loved yourself, you could never hurt another’. Buddha
Students of Class 8 of Sri Venkateshwar International School embarked on an odyssey to explore the saga of ‘Buddha - the enlightened one’ on November 20, 2019. They showcased the journey taken by Siddhartha from the palaces of Kapilavastu to the Bodhi tree in Gaya where he transformed into Mahatama Buddha spreading peace and a message to end the miseries of the world.
The Chiel Guest, Mr Himanshu Ahluwalia , was mesmerised by the performance of the budding artists and applauded and encouraged them by giving them a standing ovation . In his address, he told the students that learning is an unending process and we keep growing as long as we keep learning.
The School Principal , Ms Nita Arora , also addressed the august gathering and asked the students to find the Buddha in them , which will be the true essence of the depiction of the play.
The energetic and expressive dances with a lively background music and graphics made the narrative even more interesting and fascinating. The live orchestra performance added a lot of emotions and gaiety that made the audience completely spellbind.
The show culminated with a lovely message - ‘things outside you are projections of what’s inside you , what’s inside you is a projection of what’s outside.’

Let us hear from him, as he shares his experience:
"The feeling of standing in the TEDx’s red circle is something I couldn’t have never thought of a year before but here we are. Now that I’ve stood there and given my talk titled 'How De-Stigmatisation of mental illnesses went all wrong,' it was genuinely one of the most fulfilling experience of my life.
I got to interact and see ideas come to reality by all the speakers that included Diya Chordia, Lt Gen Balbir Singh Sandhu, Saumya Pande, Chaitanya Lila Das and many more.
Interacting with these people across very distinct forms of life makes you question more, think more and most importantly, do more.
The staff at Heritage Girls School was very caring and hospitable. They took care of every single detail; on and off stage. Special thanks to Ms. Nikita Jain who made me feel right at home and Principal Mrs. Tulsi Bhatia, who as a motherly figure, guiding me every step of the way.
I am thankful to my school for the opportunity."
