    CBSE Capacity Building Workshop on Value Education

    Sri VIS hosted the CBSE Capacity Building Workshop on Value Education

    Class Teachers of Class 9 - Ms Shaagun Puri, Ms Shweta Narang, Ms Vennika Gupta, Ms Monika Sharma, Ms Shalu Narula and the School Co Learner Ms Nita Arora attended the Workshop 
    along with a number of teachers and counsellors from other schools.

    Ms Neeta Rastogi of Sadhu Vaswani coordinated the Workshop along with Ms Harvinder Kaur and Ms Deepika - the school Counsellors

          As the name itself suggests this activity was all about reliving the famous characters from past or present.Class 1 children dressed up like eminent global personalities and glorified the good and inspiring deeds of these people. Some of the common characters taken up by the children were Kalpana Chawla, Malala Yousafzai and Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru.

            Class II-Audio visual story session conducted by Mr. Mridul Anand
            ''Don't give up, No matter what" Grade II students learnt a valuable lesson in leading a life filled with determination yet full of contentment through an Audio visual story session conducted by Mr. Mridul Anand, a senior manager from corporate sector and one of our very dear parent. Children in each section immensely enjoyed the session and took a great learning for a life time!

                Class III-Diwali Craft Making Activity
                Students of class III got into the festive mood right way by making vibrant hangings for Diwali. Using their old toothbrush, they did spray painting of Lord Ganesha. Students also talked about celebrating Diwali in eco-friendly and judicious way. They relished the activity.

                  'Daan Utsav' as the word aptly describes, comprised of moments of empathy, love , sharing & caring when children of Grade I and II, added yet another day full of joy and cheer in the SVIS corridors by sharing sweets, cookies, cakes etc. with the less privileged members of our school who so fondly take care of them each day around the year! It indeed gave a splendid beginning to our celebrations this festive season! Happy Diwali!!

                    Happy Diwali Dear parents, children and entire SVIS fraternity!! Children had a wonderful time celebrating Diwali with their peers through a plethora of activities having been organised for them by school! The Grade II students made beautiful door" torans" under guidance of one of our very able & dear parent, Ms Ghosh. They also bought momentoes from underprivileged, gave away sweets to the helping staff & partied along with friends within the classrooms..It created such a bright & festive ambience in our corridors!!!

                      Grade II students had a fun-filled learning with especially organised Digi Sky astronomy sessions within the school premises. Students watched various stars, constellations, Zodiacs & a few videos of Greek mythology in the temporary planetarium set up for them. They were later given complimentary books to take their learning back home.
