Mehak Hira, our young prodigy from Class XI B made her parents and school proud.

Mehak Hira, our young prodigy from class XI B, makes yet another unprecedented mark with her critically incisive thoughts on ' _Science and Corona Virus'_ that gets published as an article on The Speaking Hat Website. Another beautiful outburst of creative writing came through her earlier this month by title, ' _Small is Beautiful'_ on the same portal. Her reflective ideas and articulate writing makes us extremely proud of her. May the creative muse continue to guide her, always!

Krishti khandelwal of class 6 D once again made her parents and school proud.
          Krishti's poem is a part of a
Book "The EXCEPTIONAL" The stream of emotions.
The poem name is "The Pandemic"
          The Pandemic
          No one can believe it,
          No one thought about it,
Many people follow the rules to protect themselves,
But some don't care about it by a bit.
The danger of this brutal pandemic,
          Only some people can understand,
          How it spreads like wildfire,
How deadly and horrifying this is for our species and land.
          You won't get any symptoms,
But you can easily risk the life of someone or two,
You won't believe the way multiplication works,
For example you could see how one bat eating normal person could do.
Just sit there for a moment,
Think that there were kids who lived independently with out there parents with a worse disease outbreak,
They saved us, me and you .
And saved us from the chaose they have create.

“Creating a healthy mindset is an investment in your overall well - being.” Carley Schweet
In order to spread awareness about the mental well-being of the students, Sri VIS observed a Mental Health Week from October 4 - October 10, 2020. The initiative was taken under ‘Manodarpan’ by the Ministry of Education, Government of India and covered a wide range of activities to provide psychosocial support to students, teachers and families. Students made beautiful posters and wrote creative slogans with meaningful and significant messages. Story telling sessions were also conducted in which teachers narrated stories highlighting various components of mental well-being. The story telling session was followed by a question answer round which enabled students to express their feelings. The theme of the story helped in establishing a link with the students’ daily life to create awareness. A game was also played related to emotions and feelings in which students were shown different stick puppets related to different emotions and they were  asked to act accordingly. The aim of the game was to make children understand that it is very important to have balanced emotions and we should not stick to one emotion for long. The stories, messages and posters vividly brought out the importance of overall well-being of an individual.
