Sri VIS student makes the country proud at the National Robotics Champion of FTC - First Tech Challenge
YAJUR MOHAN SHARMA of IXB will be representing India at the International Level third time in a row.
Yajur and his Team NeXT have won the Nationals of the FIRST®?TECH CHALLENGE (FTC) that was held in Pune on Feb 8, Feb 9 and Feb 10, 2019.
The competition saw 30 teams from different parts of the country compete against each other in an alliance format over three days. Yajur's team remained undefeated throughout the tournament winning all 5 group matches. The Semi Finals and Finals were a best of three games format, but Team NeXT won both of them in straight games. Along the way, they also set the highest score of the tournament. This culminated in them winning the coveted Inspire Award and the Winning Alliance Captain Award.
Having won the India Nationals, they will be the only team representing the country at the FIRST®? World Festival in Detroit, USA in April 2019.
This is the 3rd year in a row that Yajur will be representing India in International Robotic tournaments but the FIRST®? World Festival in Detroit is truly the biggest stage.
Heartiest Congratulations Dear Yajur, his mentors, team members, his parents and the school!
