        SVIS organises Industrial Visit

The students of class IX of Sri Venkateshwar International School, Sector 18, Dwarka, enjoyed an Industrial Visit on Saturday, 18 August 2018. The visit was organised as part of the annual planning of student visits that is aimed at providing learning experiences beyond the boundaries of the school.
The students of classes IX A and IX B were taken to Goplajee Ananda Milk Factory, Hapur Road where they first hand witnessed the functioning of a milk processing unit.
.The students at the first were given a brief about the expanse and the distribution area and market share of the milk products giant. Then a factory tour was undertaken, through which children were explained the process of how milk as a raw material is obtained by the Factory from different local farmers and then used for further processing and production of milk products. The way the factory is keeping pace with technology and still uplifting the small scale farmers and dairy producers is commendable. Keeping in mind the hygiene measures and security check, students were given a factory production unit tour from its corridors, being able to see the processing, packaging, storing and checking of the products through special glass doors.

The students of classes IX C, D, E, and F were taken to Parle G Factory, Bahadurgarh to learn about the basic operational practices of a food industry.
An acclimatisation session was done through an animated movie which gave an insight about the journey of Parle foods and the various products produced by the company. A brief procedure of making confectionary items like Parle mango bite, Kisme toffee and Kachcha Aam and biscuits like Parle G, Hide and Seek was explained. An animated movie to spread the message of clean India and effective waste management was also shown.

Children were taken for a tour through the factory where they observed manufacturing and packaging of wafers and biscuits through a gully which had glass windows for them to have a glance.
These visits were memorable enriching experiences for the students.
