Design Insight- A highly creative, educative and innovative session on expanding horizons, diversifying outlook and broadening perspectives!!
We had the honour of hosting Brazilian Product designer, Mr Andre Vitarelli and Ms Ayushi from Gurukul School of Design, an initiative of the eminent Designer Mr Raghvendra Rathore.
Mr Andre interacted at length with our Grade XI students about careers in Design and how aesthetics, functionality and marketing go collaboratively into making any product, person or idea successful. The workshop was attended by students of various other schools as well, who had their queries answered very well about integrating marketing, psychology, writing, manga art etc. with designing. The audience were left with inquisitiveness to know more while the speaker ended with a motivational note to never narrow down or restrict vision towards one's goal and always aspire to learn and evolve throughout on the journey called life!

    Sri VIS organises BUSINESS STUDIES WORKSHOP for Commerce students of Classes 11-12 on October 24, 2019

    RESOURCE PERSON: Tapan Pathak

    Mr Tapan started the session with an elaborate discussion on the changes in the Business Studies syllabus and question paper design. (MCQ)

    A topic wise discussion on difficult areas, case studies and strategies to overcome them.

    Many concepts related to the subject such as concept mapping, memorising keywords and use of acronyms helped our Commerce students to gain and apply knowledge and techniques of the subject.

    Students were happy to get their understanding consolidated with the tips and advice given by the resource person and are looking forward to use the skills taught in their future learning and ensuing assessments.

      OUR PARENTS, OUR BIGGEST RESOURCE

      Sri VIS organises a Physics Workshop for Class 12 students on October 24, 2019 for demystifying the subject by Mr Rohit Diwan, a parent who is a well known faculty of Allen Institute, and is currently visiting New Delhi. We are grateful to him and his family.

      It indeed was a wonderful Physics Workshop for Class 12 students. The sessions mainly focussed on identification of goal, self analysis,smart work and revision strategies.

      According to the resource person, time management and smart work are the factors that define success in CBSE or competitive exams.

      Students enjoyed the session thoroughly and got benefitted with the tips shared.

        Celebrated Author from England Andy Cope mesmerized and enchanted the students to the 'Art of being a brilliant teenager' on October 24, 2019.

        By the way, this is his famous bestseller title too and goes on to prove that happiness lies in our response to a situation.

        Middle School students too were at their eloquent best and participated wholeheartedly in the Question- Answer session.

        Ms Premlata attended a session for the Teachers by Andy Cope yesterday at Sri Fort Stadium and today students had the opportunity to interact with Andy Cope personally and get their personal copy autographed too.

          Kala Utsav 2019 kicks off at Sri Venkateshwar International School on October 22, 2019 with the school being a venue for the Vocal Music Category.

          It saw 6 Music Maestros as Judges, Dr Manoj Cultural Secretary of Zone 21 and Dr Gunjan, Cultural Secretary of Zone 22 , with the Convenor Cultural activities HoS, Govt School, Sector 6, Dwarka announcing the Kala Utsav open.

            STEAM CLUB - SRI VIS SHINES THROUGH THE CREATIVITY OF ARNAV JAIN OF CLASS 10

            Class 10 student Master Arnav Jain is now a certified inventor with his prototype already adopted for production. He underwent Summer Internship in Digital Marketing this June - July. At this young age, his web development work has been acknowledged by tech giants.

            Arnav has also developed an Aqua Alarm Clock which sprinkles water at the set Alarm. Wake up sprinkle to send the traces of sleep hangover away. He has been adopted by a Corporate House for all his further research and inventions.

            His strength lies in innovative and investigative approach towards life. More importantly, his unstoppable positive attitude makes him an eager learner.

              Vidit Khandelwal - Class 10 and Aarush Agarwal - Class 9 made to the North India Finals of the TCS IT Wiz 2019 ; an initiative of TCS that started in 1999 for students of Clases 8 -12.

              Over 500 schools from North India participated today at IIT Delhi.

              Only 6 teams reached the finals after a Preliminary Quiz.

              Vidit and Aarush, narrowly missed the top three positions, but were in the Final Six.

              They were awarded with certificates and Amazon Gift Vouchers worth Rs 2500.

              We recognise and appreciate their feat and wish them greater success in future endeavours.

                Grand parents are a resource too at Sri VIS

                Sri VIS is thankful to Mr P K Roy, an expert mathematician and retired principal for providing valuable tips to math faculty of Sri VIS on October 19, 2019.
                It was highly enriching and interactive session in which he talked about common errors in mathematics and art of posing a problem to learners. His in-depth understanding of the subject and art of explaining mathematical concepts was highly appreciated by the teachers.
                Mathematics faculty was privileged to have him as a resource person and look forward to more such enlightening sessions in future too.
